Kujo Tadamoto (九条忠基)
Tadamoto KUJO (1345-January 16, 1398) was a Kugyo (the top court officials) in the period of the Northern and Southern Courts (Japan). His official rank was Juichii (Junior First Rank). He worked as Kanpaku (chief adviser to the Emperor). His father was Tsunenori KUJO and his mother was a daughter of Sanetada SANJO who was Naidaijin (minister of the center). His brothers were Takatsune, Koen, Kyogaku (Kyokaku) and Jini other than Noritsugu KUJO and Mitsunori KUJO. He adopted his half brother Mitsunori KUJO as a son.
In 1357 he was raised to the peerage of Jusanmi (Junior Third Rank). After holding positions such as sadaijin (minister of the left), he was assigned to Kanpaku in Juichii on January 26, 1376, and resigned on October 11, 1379. On January 16, 1398, he died.
